Refund policy

Denim & Archives Originals and Archive pieces follow separate return and exchange policies. Please read the section that applies to your order.

Denim & Archives Originals

Denim & Archives Originals may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase or delivery. To qualify for a return or exchange:

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed and unaltered.
  • Original tags must remain attached.
  • Items must be free of stains, odors, makeup, pet hair and other signs of wear.
  • Proof of purchase is required.
  • The return or exchange request must be submitted within the 30-day window.

Items that do not meet these conditions may be refused and returned to the customer.

Archive Pieces

All vintage, pre-owned and one-of-one Archive pieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged due to fit, preference, expected vintage wear or a change of mind.

Archive pieces may naturally show age, fading, distressing, repairs, discoloration, irregular sizing or other signs of previous wear. We make every reasonable effort to photograph and describe these characteristics before purchase.

Critical Issues With Archive Pieces

If an Archive piece arrives with a significant issue that was not disclosed or visible in the product listing, contact us within seven days of delivery. A critical issue may include:

  • Major undisclosed holes, tears or structural damage
  • A broken zipper, closure or essential component
  • Severe undisclosed staining or odor
  • Receiving the wrong item
  • A material difference from the item’s description

Minor vintage wear, natural fading, color variations, manufacturer sizing differences, fit concerns and details already shown or described are not considered critical issues.

To submit a claim, email returns@denimandarchives.com with your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photos or video showing the concern.

Please do not wash, wear, alter or repair the item before contacting us. Approved claims may be resolved through a repair, replacement, exchange, store credit or refund, depending on the circumstances and product availability.

Contacting us within seven days does not automatically guarantee that a return, exchange or refund will be approved.

Exchanges

Eligible Denim & Archives Originals may be exchanged within the 30-day window. Because inventory is limited, we cannot guarantee that the requested size, color or style will be available.

If the requested replacement is unavailable, the customer may choose another eligible item or receive a refund to the original payment method.

Archive pieces cannot be exchanged unless Denim & Archives approves a claim involving a critical, undisclosed issue.

Other Final-Sale Items

In addition to Archive pieces, the following products are final sale unless they arrive incorrect or materially defective:

  • Gift cards
  • Intimates, swimwear and pierced jewelry
  • Customized or altered items
  • Items specifically marked “Final Sale”
  • Promotional, complimentary or giveaway items

Return Shipping

Denim & Archives covers return-shipping costs for approved returns and exchanges.

Once a request is approved, we will provide return instructions and, when applicable, a prepaid shipping label. Items must be packaged securely and returned using the provided instructions.

Original shipping charges and expedited-delivery fees are nonrefundable unless the customer received an incorrect item or the item was approved as materially defective.

Refunds

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method after the returned item has been received and inspected.

Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to be processed. Additional processing time may be required by the customer’s bank or payment provider.

In-Store Purchases

The same eligibility requirements and timeframes apply to in-store purchases:

  • Denim & Archives Originals may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase.
  • Archive pieces are final sale.
  • Critical, undisclosed issues with Archive pieces must be reported within seven days of purchase.
  • Proof of purchase is required.

Unauthorized or Ineligible Returns

Returns or exchanges sent without approval, submitted outside the applicable return window or received in an ineligible condition may be refused.

Denim & Archives reserves the right to limit or refuse returns and exchanges in cases involving excessive return activity, suspected fraud, wardrobe use or other abuse of this policy.

Please include your order number and the reason for your request. For damaged, defective or incorrect items, include clear photos or video showing the issue.

This policy does not limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
